For women planning a hospital birth or elective caesarean who would like personalised midwifery care throughout pregnancy and the postnatal weeks, without independent midwifery attendance at the birth.
This package gives you the time and continuity of having one midwife who gets to know you and your pregnancy, with appointments in your own home before and after your baby arrives.
Antenatal Care Includes
- One-to-one appointments in your home
- Time to explore your plans, questions and options
- Preparation for hospital birth or planned caesarean
- Liaison with NHS services where helpful
Postnatal Care Includes
- Home visits arranged around you and your family
- Support with recovery, feeding and emotional wellbeing
- Newborn checks and routine postnatal care
- Ongoing support for up to six weeks after birth
This can be a lovely option if you want one trusted midwife, unhurried appointments and continuity throughout pregnancy and those early weeks with your baby, while your birth care remains with the hospital.
